Weddings & my Favourite Five

Hello my lovely people!!

This week is pretty crazy for me - 3 finals (2 today and 1 Thursday) and my sisters wedding (which includes a bridal shower Wednesday, a bachelorette Thursday, the wedding Friday, and the reception Saturday). Oh and my other sister Sadie (the one who lives in korea) is coming home today!!! I'm a little worried about how well I'll do on my Thursday final....

Anyway!! This post will be short and sweet...and wedding themed! :)

Favourite Engagement Picture:

I mostly like the flowers in her hair. :)

Favourite Reception Area:

I love the light colours and lights! It's so elegant.

Favourite Bouquet:

SO bright and pretty!!

Favourite Men's Outfit:

He is looking finnnne in that suit! I seriously love it when a guy is in a nice, well-fitted suit. So attractive.

Favourite Hair:

I don't know what it is, but I LOVE lots of flowers in hair for weddings. It's a must for me. :)

Love you all,

Lo

Favourite Five: Pretty Little Things

Did you guys see my tasty Mexican treat?!? I'm not even bragging (mostly because I didn't come up with the base recipe), but it is for real soo tasty! And it only takes like 10 minutes max to make. Just do it. You won't regret it.

So it's that time again, hump day!! You've made it halfway through the week, so you might as well enjoy it!

Favourite Hairstyle:

Reese Witherspoon is beautiful! Ever since i was little and saw Legally Blonde, I wanted to be like her. And this hair!! Ah! So pretty. Unfortunately there's no tutorial that I can find, soo I may end up making one. We'll see!!

Favourite Houseware:

How beautiful is this table?! It makes me think of the beach, but it also looks like it could be used in a variety of environments. I love pretty wood. I know that's so random, but I do. That's what happens when you grow up with a Father who's a general contractor!

Favourite Swimsuit:

Speaking of beaches....I want to go!! This nice weather that's currently hit makes me want summer now! But I'm actually really happy that it's warm at all. Now, anyone want to donate to my anthropologie fund? It's only $120! ;)

Favourite Flowers:

Something about flowers just brightens my mood. I really love them. Although I'm not a huge "roses girl". I like anything bright and cheery. And daffodils! I had these in my backyard when I lived in Ontario and I loved them!!

Favourite Quote:

You guys know I love quotes. And I also really love Audrey. She's smart, funny, and pretty. Of course I look up to her!

Try-It-Tuesday: Mermaid/Wavy Curls!

Hey guys!!!

Today I'm getting a little out of my comfort zone and posting a hair tutorial! I've had quite a few people ask me how I do my hair like this, and one even said I should do a video tutorial. As you wish! Luckily, I've grown up around hair. That sounded weird....What I mean by that is that my mom is a hairdresser and she has taught me her ways well. She's seriously a magician when it comes to hair (among other things)! Plus I used to have a salon in my actual house (How lucky, right!?), so I got to play around with all sorts of products and tools. It was glorious.

This is one of my favourite hairstyles. It doesn't take too long, especially once you get the hang of it, and it looks super effortless and beautiful! It's a great and easy look for parties or anything like that you'll be going to in the near future. It reminds me of being on the beach, but I feel like it can also be quite a fancy look. It all depends how you tweak it. If you hold the piece of hair longer, you'll get more of a tight curl. If you want it to look less "put together", you can hold it for not as long, and don't wrap the hair to the end of the strand! It all depends how you want it to look. But play around with it, and see how you like it! Plus, you can leave it for a few days, and just touch up a few pieces, and it'll still look good. Just grab some dry-shampoo and hairspray - BTW, did you know that dry shampoo also gives you volume?? Yeah, so great.

Here's a few examples of when I've done it!

You can also add a braid, or a twist to your bangs for an even prettier look.

This is how it turned out, after I got all fancy and put some makeup on! :p

Now you can go walk away, feeling like this:

Work it girl.  ;)

Favourite Five

Happy Humpday, and congrats on making it half-way through the week!!

Here are my favourite 5 things this week:

Favourite Quote:

So, part of me feels like this is a little bit depressing. But the bigger part of me is saying "wow, holy perspective." We only have so much time. Make sure what you're doing counts.

Favourite Store Front:

Le Petit Zinc, Paris. How cool is it that I've been here!?! Ridiculously expensive, but SO worth it! So dang tasty! This is the reason we had Subway for dinner the next night in Paris.

Favourite Cozy Look:

Don't you just want to have this around your neck?? You would never be cold. It oozes comfort.

Favourite Hairstyle:

So cute!! And totally doable.

Favourite Perspective:

Take me to NYC! :) Beauty.

Have a fabulous day!!

xoxo,

Lo
