Favourite Five: Smile!

Hello lovelies!!

I have to apologize. I've been so bad at keeping up with posts lately. That happens in life sometimes! But better late than never right?! So here is your weekly break! Enjoy. :)

This totally makes me think of my sister! She's been teaching English in Korea since August annnddd she's coming home in 20 days!! I'm incredibly excited to see her beautiful face!!

Favourite Wedding Idea:

Speaking of sisters! The reason my sister is coming home from Korea is because my other beautiful sister is getting married!! Holy crap! I can't believe it's almost the day! Less than a month now. But anyway, there's something about globes that I find intriguing. I seriously love this idea for a guestbook!

Favourite Five Happy Edition!

Hi friends!! How are you attractive people doing?! Good. So, I'm in a great mood right now, and I just want to share some things that make me happy, m'kay?! Enjoy!

Favourite Music:

Some of the kids in this video can dance better than me! Props little ones. I swear, I want to have dancing little babies when I'm older. So presh.

Favourite Documentary:

So I first saw this documentary about 4 years ago....I think. I was in Kelowna, BC visiting some family, and they took my sister Sadie, my friend Jenna, and I to see the Happy Movie. I was seriously impressed! SUCH an enlightening movie! Since seeing it, I've become super interested in positive psychology. I can't wait till I can take the 400-level class in school!

Here's a little clip:

Why live life unhappily?

p.s. I bought a DVD at Lu Lu Lemon about a year after it came out, but I'm not sure if they have it anymore. If you can't find it anywhere else, check it out on their website

Favourite Laugh:

I've talked about Remi Gaillard before. He is fearless and hilarious. And apparently making a movie?!? What! I'd go see that fo sho! Just watch. You'll love it....as long as it's not happening to you.

Favourite New Track:

Performed by the one, the only, REBELLEN!!!

I also just really love the pictures in the background.

Favourite Family:

My own!! OF COURSE! Haha. And no, this isn't one of those awkward family photos. Although it is comparable. Photographer: "Okay, funny faces!" My brother: (thinks) Imma whip off my shirt! Everyone else: Reactions are as shown above. Click.

Happy Humpday!!

Wednesday and My Favourite Five This Week

Happy half-way through the week!! Did you see my post yesterday? I've made a few changes around here. Nothing too crazy, but still I thought I should let you know. Anyway, here's a little entertainment to get you through the week!

Favourite Dance Move:

Baby Freeze. For those of you who don't know, I recently started taking a dance class. It's not a hip-hop (although that was my first choice), but a contemporary class. So far it's mostly been funny, but I have another class tonight, so I'm hoping it gets even better! So, in the spirit of trying new things, I felt like learning some dance moves. The "Baby Freeze" or "Stall" is a kind of beginner-type dance move (...I think....I actually know nothing about dance, haha), and I've seen a lot or people do it in the past, so I decided to learn how to do it on Monday! I got it on my first try!
Jussst kidding! I wish. No, instead, it probably took me an hour (including taking breaks, watching Blurred Lines on YouTube, and being generally ridiculous with my friend Alena) to be able to hold it for like 3 seconds, but hey, I did it! You can see it on my Instagram here. Don't judge guys, it was my first time trying! I'm still working on it, but I got this nasty rug burn on my arm, so I gotta let it heal up. By Friday I expect to be professional.

Favourite Song:

I love how cheery this song is. :) It sounds happy.

Favourite Valentines Day Idea:

Last year on Valentines Day I walked into my 8am class, and my prof greeted us by saying, "Happy Singles Awareness Day!" It was a great start to the day, naturally. So, yes, I am single. And as much as I sometimes say I don't like it, I actually don't mind it all that much (I mean if you're an attractive male, about 20-30, I'm not discouraging you from messaging me). If you're not happy being single, you won't be happy dating someone. It's a fact.
So, seeing as this day of heightened awareness of our singlehood is coming up, we might as well do something fun too!

Here's a list of 5 things you can do on that day while being single! (gasp) Personally I wouldn't recommend #3, but that's a personal preference.

But, if all else fails, you can do this:

Your choice.

Favourite Beauty:

So guess what? I actually know this girl! How lucky am I? On top of being incredibly beautiful, she's also super sweet to everyone, hilarious, a wicked good dancer, and straight up rad. This girl always looks great. Annnd so does her sister, who happens to take all (I think) her blog photos. You for real need to check it out! She's got crazy great style! Click here for her blog.

Hope your week stays great! You guys are amazing!

Pranks: Holding Hands and Macklemore

Last semester for my social psyc class, we were asked to break a social norm and get it caught on video. Looking for inspiration, I found this guy - Andrew Hales.
After watching this, I decided I was going to go around and hold people's hands. Let me just say, doing that takes major balls. (Excuse the language - it's the most appropriate word). I tried doing it on one person, and it got so freaking awkward!! So I settled with just standing and sitting super close to people. Still awkward. But awesome.

So here is his video of Holding People's Hand.

Then he did it again:
And again:
Props.

Side note - he looks like Macklemore. All the more reason to like him. Oh yeah, and he pretended to be him this one time.

Have a happy Monday!

Vending Machine Prank

So last Monday I featured Remi Gaillard as one of the best Prankers. Going along with the same idea, today I'm featuring Stuart Edge! This guy is hilarious! He has such good pranks! I don't know where he gets all the ideas from, but I am happy to watch. Here's one I put in a Favourite Five post

Just some of his crazy pranks.

Anyway, Stuart Edge deserves some serious props for doing all these pranks. He was even on Jimmy Fallon! Plus, anyone who enjoys pranks and/or scaring people will love this. Happy Monday!!

Here's his blog and YouTube channel! Check it out!

Gym Stereotypes.

Going to the gym isn't always as laid back and chill as you'd think or like it to be. Along with the mass of "normal" people, occasionally you get the pleasure of sharing your gym space with any one of these people. Normally I feel like stereotypes can be hurtful and unkind. But, this video is ridiculously accurate. Plus, this is something people can control. It's so obnoxious, they're asking to be pointed out. If you've ever gone to the gym, I'm sure you've witnessed these people. I know I've had my fair share of Talkative Timmy, The Treadmill Sprinter, and sadly The Naked Old Lady. It kills me every time. Just put on a towel. Or clothes. Something. Anything. No one needs to see alll of that. I get you being comfortable with your body, but that doesn't mean the rest of us are. Thank you. Sincerely, everyone.

The Screamer.

The guy who keeps checking himself out.

Annnd, the selfie guy. That's a lot of leg there.

Those are just a few. Watch the video and you won't be disappointed.

Are you one of these stereotypes? No shame. Let me know! ;)

Featured Prankster! Remi Gaillard!

Happy Monday!! Today, to brighten your spirits from the Monday blues, I thought I'd share a lovely pranker with you! My brother showed me this guy in the Summer and I just about died laughing! He has no fear. I can only hope to be like that one day.

So, here are just two of my favourite pranks of his. Enjoy!

Have a funny Monday! And check out his other pranks here!

Pranks & Ellen Degeneres

So, if you don't know me personally, you might not know that I love Ellen Degeneres! My goodness, she is hilarious, and I love that she stands for being funny without putting people down.

Ditto on the last one.

Seriously, she's so funny!!

I actually just bought her book, Seriously, I'm Kidding. It does not disappoint! She has amazing one-liners about every paragraph. I cannot get enough! It's a great chill book to read and it'll cheer you up if you just read a few paragraphs, I assure you.

Anyway, she's great at many things, but one of her strong point's, I think, is pranking. If I was famous and could pay people to do these things I would. Heck, I'd even pay to be a apart of it, if Ellen asked me! Anyway, I want to share with you some of Ellen's best pranks. :)

I hope this link works for the whole playlist, but if not, you can just click to watch it on YouTube and the whole playlist should pop up. Now go use the next 4 hours wisely.

Love,

Lo
