I've been a butt about posting lately, so bear with me. For now, just let this thought sink in.

Favourite Five: Men's Style
Hello lovelies!
It's that time again! Also, I realize that I didn't post last week, sooo sorry!
Moving forward! This weeks post is all about men's style. To me, if a man dresses well, I find it extremely attractive. Even though I don't have a man-friend right now, Pinterest keeps me happily hoping with lovely photos. This week, I thought I'd share.
To be clear - when I say "favourite" in this post, it means one among many. But anyways.....

I know that phrase sounded weird, but let's all get over it.
I believe you can still look handsome, even when you've aged. Case and point.
Favourite Shoes:
Okay, I get that a motorcycle isn't exactly an accessory to clothing, but regardless I find it attractive. If you want a legit clothing accessory, a nice tie is a win for me.
Happy Wednesday!

Try-it-Tuesday: Strawberry and Apple Juicing!
I don't know what it is about juicing, but it has kind of freaked me out ever since I wanted to try it. Maybe it's because most recipes I found told me to go get roots and extracts that I had never heard about. Hard. Pass.
Or, maybe it's because the machine itself is a beast. And not in the cute way that Maleficent says it. It actually has so many pieces, and I don't know what goes in where, and what comes out of where. Anyway, it freaked me out. You can see how gigantic it is below.
But then the other day, I was reading one of my favourite books called "Who Will Cry When You Die?" and it said to try juicing. It's also #47 on my summer bucket list, so I figured I'd give it a try, seeing as it was my day off.
We have a juicer at home, but I hadn't ever used it, mostly because I forgot it was there (and the above reasons). But I dug it out, blew some dust off and got to work.
Let me just say that it looks way more intimidating than it is! It's seriously the easiest thing ever, and takes roughly 30 seconds, minus cleaning time (which is only a few minutes). I just made a simple apple and strawberry juice, like Robin Sharma suggested in the book.

(Don't mind the post-workout sweatiness....)
It was delicious! All I did was core and cut up an apple and take the ends off of about 7-9 strawberries. Drop the into the juicer and the juice starts coming! It's great! Or maybe I'm just weirdly excited.
Make sure that you put your glass under the spout before you start juicing though ;) ANNNND, it tastes a million times better if you put some ice in the glass and mix it around so it gets cooler.
So there you have it! Now you should all go out and try juicing! It's so cool! And of course, delicious.
Happy Juicing!!

No Dessert Update - 6 Things I've Learned From Cutting Dessert
Happy Friday lovelies!
So, today marks 2 months of no dessert, but let me tell you, it feels like a heck of a lot longer than that! Also, a few updates, I've decided to only do it for TWO months instead of six. So yes, I'm done. Judge me if you will, but only after you try it. It's a lot harder than it seems (explained more below). Also, I'm the last survivor! My brother dropped out, but I gotta give him credit, he lasted for about 2 months.
But that's not important. Let me share with you some things that I've learned on this journey so far.
1. I'm way too ambitious for my own good. Six months doesn't sound too bad after you've just eaten pie. But late nights with friends who are all eating dessert around you is freaking hard to deal with.
2. Nutella pizza from Famoso is hard to resist. The sweet aroma of melted Nutella on a delicious crust gets to you.
3. I can say no to sweets more than I thought I could! Yay! Definitely a form of self empowerment.
4.You have tons of self control when it comes to cheat day You will indulge whenever there's an excuse - i.e. birthday's, weddings, holidays...Cinco de Mayo, Easter, and Mother's Day to name a few... I'd rather have one day a week as a "cheat" day to eat sweets and whatnot, vs only holidays.
5. Taste buds regenerate regularly and when you eat less sweets, you don't want them as much. That might seem contradictory to above, but I think it's because on holidays you know it's the only day when you can eat it so you eat as much as you can.

Favourite Five: BSB
If you didn't know already, this weekend (number 8 on my summer bucket list) was pretty amazing for me. And it's all because of 5 men. And my sister, asked me if I wanted to go to a certain concert because her husband decided it wasn't his thing (win for me!). Who are these 5 men you ask? The one and only Backstreet Boys!
Let me tell you, they still got it. All of them (as seen here). Howie did a nice booty shake, but sadly I can't find a video. Just Youtube it, and I'm sure you'll find something close. And then there's Nick. Nick has had me, ever since I was 6 years old.

Feel free to read a little overview of how great the concert was here.
Anyway, it was amazing. So, here are my favourite five this week.
Favourite Howie:
Favourite Nick:
Age looks well on him, that's for sure.
Favourite Brian:
Favourite Kevin:
He was always one of my favourites.
Favourite AJ:
So now, feel free to go on with your day, preferably listening to BSB. And get excited for their movie. I know I am! ;)

DIY Spoon Ring!
Hello folks!
The other night I embarked on an adventure of sorts. Now before there's too much suspense, I'll just tell you! ;) I made spoon rings!! (Duh by the title, hahah).
My one friend Jenna loves this Craft Show that comes to town, and a few years ago she bought these awesome spoon rings! I loved them! Then a while later I started to see them pop up all over Pinterest with DIY's. I pinned it roughly two years ago and never did it. Classic.
Anyway, Saturday night rolls around and I'm looking for something to do...other than watch movies online...because as great as that is, I feel lazy after a while - no it's just great. Moving forward....I decided to change up my regular routine of watching TV and decided to do something useful with my time. It's about time! So here is le tutorial:

So, it's pretty simple. Just measure your finger with a piece of paper and then cut that fancy spoon/fork. You can cut the edges in a bit too if you like. Luckily I have a lovely father who used his bandsaw (or something) to cut it for me, but you really only need a small metal cutter.
Now's the potentially hard part. If you decide not to read all the instructions on the blog then it will probably be harder...not from personal experience or anything....
MAKE SURE YOU USE A SOFT METAL!! I feel like they should have specified this more on the blog, so I'm capitalizing it now so it's not missed. If you decide to use a hard stainless steel, it will bend about as easily as a 95 year-old Luddite. For your sanity, use a soft spoon. You can easily tell by how difficult it is to bend with your hand at first.
Next, grab some pliers (or two) to hold and bend the spoon into a nice circle. This may take some time, so be a little patient. Or in my case, get a strong man to com help you if the struggle is real. Make sure it's a good fit to your finger and adjust if necessary.
Then all you have to do is use some sand paper on it and scrub-a-dub-dub until it's soft. The pliers might have made a few marks on your lovely ring (but that just gives it character), so nows the time to sand those away.
Here's how mine turned out!!
See my papa working so hard! He's a good one. :)
And there you have it! Spoon rings are awesome! Go make one! Just make sure to follow my advice above.
Ciao!

Monday Mother's Day Pranks (and a Small Challenge)!
My friends!
It's been far too long since I did a post about pranks, so today is the day. You've waited far too long. I know Mother's Day was last week, but does that mean we should forget our mothers?! OF COURSE NOT! They do things for us year round. So, continuing in the spirit of momma's day, here is a fantastic mothers day prank by one of my favourite pranksters, Stuart Edge.
Happy Monday! Go do something nice for someone else!
Love,
Lo

Now go, rub your mom's feet, give her a back massage, paint her nails, make her breakfast, or even send her to the spa. I guarantee it will take her by surprise (unless you do these things on the regular, in which case props to ya) and make her smile. Love all around. :)
Happy Monday! Go do something nice for someone else!
