Monday Mother's Day Pranks (and a Small Challenge)!

My friends!

It's been far too long since I did a post about pranks, so today is the day. You've waited far too long. I know Mother's Day was last week, but does that mean we should forget our mothers?! OF COURSE NOT! They do things for us year round. So, continuing in the spirit of momma's day, here is a fantastic mothers day prank by one of my favourite pranksters, Stuart Edge.

Now go, rub your mom's feet, give her a back massage, paint her nails, make her breakfast, or even send her to the spa. I guarantee it will take her by surprise (unless you do these things on the regular, in which case props to ya) and make her smile. Love all around. :)

Happy Monday! Go do something nice for someone else!

Lo

Gym Pranks

Every once in a while, I get the pleasure of stumbling across amazing pranks on YouTube. I found this baby through Facebook, but still. It combines two of my favourite things! The gym and pranks!

It's probably one of the most absurd things I've ever seen, but that's why it's so great! Plus, I gotta hand it to this guy - this prank takes some major balls.

Enough talk. Now watch. :)

Here's the extra's, just for fun.

Annnd go check out BigDawsTV for more pranks!!

I mean, why else would you go to the gym?

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Favourite Five Happy Edition!

Hi friends!! How are you attractive people doing?! Good. So, I'm in a great mood right now, and I just want to share some things that make me happy, m'kay?! Enjoy!

Favourite Music:

Some of the kids in this video can dance better than me! Props little ones. I swear, I want to have dancing little babies when I'm older. So presh.

Favourite Documentary:

So I first saw this documentary about 4 years ago....I think. I was in Kelowna, BC visiting some family, and they took my sister Sadie, my friend Jenna, and I to see the Happy Movie. I was seriously impressed! SUCH an enlightening movie! Since seeing it, I've become super interested in positive psychology. I can't wait till I can take the 400-level class in school!

Here's a little clip:

Why live life unhappily?

p.s. I bought a DVD at Lu Lu Lemon about a year after it came out, but I'm not sure if they have it anymore. If you can't find it anywhere else, check it out on their website.

Favourite Laugh:

I've talked about Remi Gaillard before. He is fearless and hilarious. And apparently making a movie?!? What! I'd go see that fo sho! Just watch. You'll love it....as long as it's not happening to you.

Favourite New Track:

Performed by the one, the only, REBELLEN!!!

I also just really love the pictures in the background.

Favourite Family:

My own!! OF COURSE! Haha. And no, this isn't one of those awkward family photos. Although it is comparable. Photographer: "Okay, funny faces!" My brother: (thinks) Imma whip off my shirt! Everyone else: Reactions are as shown above. Click.

Happy Humpday!!

A Little Change...

Hello my friends!

I hope that you've been enjoying my blog so far! It's already been 3 months since I started! Crazzy! I sincerely appreciate all your support! I writing this blog. I really have loved sharing health tips, trying new things, and laughing at internet pranks (seriously, some people are flippen hilarious!). I feel like so much has happened since my first post!

I've been doing some thinking lately though. As much as I love posting each day, I've had a hard time giving meaningful content lately. Maybe it's because I was feeling super ambitious in November. Or maybe it's because I didn't have a job, or a full course load. Either way I don't feel that I'm giving you lovely people all that I can when I have other things on my plate, such as school, church, work, social life, etc...SO, I've decided to make a little change to the way things are run around here. I hope you'll still stay with me! I've decided to narrow down how much I post each week.

I know it's important in blogging to be consistent with your posts. So from now on, every week will look like this:

Tuesday: Try-It-Tuesday

Wednesday: My Favourite Five

Friday: Fit Friday

That's not to say that I'll never make a travel post ever again, or share the talents of various pranksters around the world (because that would just be sad) - but it will be less often. I also hope to travel more, that way when I DO make posts, they'll have my heart and soul in them. I'll show you personal tips and experiences.

So my lovely friends, I hope you keep reading along! You mean the world to me! Love you all!

Pranks: Holding Hands and Macklemore

Last semester for my social psyc class, we were asked to break a social norm and get it caught on video. Looking for inspiration, I found this guy - Andrew Hales.
After watching this, I decided I was going to go around and hold people's hands. Let me just say, doing that takes major balls. (Excuse the language - it's the most appropriate word). I tried doing it on one person, and it got so freaking awkward!! So I settled with just standing and sitting super close to people. Still awkward. But awesome.

So here is his video of Holding People's Hand.

Then he did it again:
And again:
Props.

Side note - he looks like Macklemore. All the more reason to like him. Oh yeah, and he pretended to be him this one time.

Have a happy Monday!

Vending Machine Prank

So last Monday I featured Remi Gaillard as one of the best Prankers. Going along with the same idea, today I'm featuring Stuart Edge! This guy is hilarious! He has such good pranks! I don't know where he gets all the ideas from, but I am happy to watch. Here's one I put in a Favourite Five post.

Just some of his crazy pranks.

Anyway, Stuart Edge deserves some serious props for doing all these pranks. He was even on Jimmy Fallon! Plus, anyone who enjoys pranks and/or scaring people will love this. Happy Monday!!

Here's his blog and YouTube channel! Check it out!

Featured Prankster! Remi Gaillard!

Happy Monday!! Today, to brighten your spirits from the Monday blues, I thought I'd share a lovely pranker with you! My brother showed me this guy in the Summer and I just about died laughing! He has no fear. I can only hope to be like that one day.

Pranks & Ellen Degeneres

So, if you don't know me personally, you might not know that I love Ellen Degeneres! My goodness, she is hilarious, and I love that she stands for being funny without putting people down.

Ditto on the last one.

Seriously, she's so funny!!

I actually just bought her book, Seriously, I'm Kidding. It does not disappoint! She has amazing one-liners about every paragraph. I cannot get enough! It's a great chill book to read and it'll cheer you up if you just read a few paragraphs, I assure you.

Anyway, she's great at many things, but one of her strong point's, I think, is pranking. If I was famous and could pay people to do these things I would. Heck, I'd even pay to be a apart of it, if Ellen asked me! Anyway, I want to share with you some of Ellen's best pranks. :)

I hope this link works for the whole playlist, but if not, you can just click to watch it on YouTube and the whole playlist should pop up. Now go use the next 4 hours wisely.

Pranks Part III - What's That Smell?

If you haven't been following since the beginning, here's how this prank war started. So, after this happened, we decided to wait it out a little bit. So two weeks went by, and the guys' guards were down, and naturally the timing was perfect. The hard part is getting into their house, and we didn't want to break in or anything! They told us they were having a "little get-together", so we thought
 BC
we'd swing by and quickly prank them while we were there. Perfect, right? Wrong. We drove up to their house, and a large party was full in motion.

But, the pranks must go on. So we went inside and quickly hid these.
(4 of them actually. Frozen. Like my new friends?? They weren't very lively...)

We also grabbed a few feeder fish to distract from the real prank.

They were so cute actually!

So then we hid the dead ones under 2 bathroom sinks, the kitchen sink, and under a couch. We did make sure there was plastic underneath all the fish, in hopes that it wouldn't make a huge mess.

Sadly they found the one under the couch that night, just because they moved them around. And the next day after church, they came home to a stinky smell and found two others. They ended up getting a little upset about it all though, because it ended up getting messy :( and so I told them where the last one was that night. But, we did make their house smell, which was the point. So, was it a successful prank? Debatable.

Happy Monday! (And sorry again for the mess boys!)

Prank Part II & Crabs...

Sounds inviting right? Thought so. Remember in this page about why I named my blog, how I wrote about this one time when a bunch of us girls were sitting around the table eating crab and thinking of blog names? No Yes is the only acceptable answer. But if you did read it, and somehow forgot, here's the link.

So, after this happened, it was the guys turn to get us back. We were a little paranoid the week after we pranked them, and by we, I mean mostly Ash, haha, but we all were a little worried. So, when on a Friday night, they invited us over for games, we briefly thought they might try to prank the car or something. So naturally we parked the next block over. That was unnecessary.

So we were all just hanging out when they decided not to play games, but to watch a movie. Gladiator in specific, which I like, but it's not on my Top 10 or anything. But all the guys seemed so excited to watch it, so we reluctantly agreed. Even though they said that we should watch it at Ash & Alena's house. Now this seemed strange, since we were already at the guys' house, but they convinced us to go. It was mostly peer pressure. Stay away from it youngin's!

We went back to their house and came downstairs to this:

No one wanted to go over and open it, so I went over and kicked it. Utter pandemonium.

Ruthless, those guys are. But we made a new friend! "Senor Pinchy".

Annnd then we ate him the next day. Don't be hatin.

Have a happy Monday!

Lo

Pranks Part I

Happy Monday everyone!!

Mondays are controversial. I know most people hate them, and I'm not saying I don't, but someone told me that that's a sad way to live 1/7 of your life. Good point right?!
So I hope you're having a good Monday. But, since Mondays sometimes suck (especially when you have to go to school in weather like this!) -

- here's to hoping my immaturity will brighten your day! ;)
I love pranks! I wrote about my love for it in this post, and I feel like it's a great way to not take yourself so seriously. Sometimes you need to have a little fun in life! Correction: you should always have fun! Ideally at least!

Soo, there's this pranking battle that happened (and may still be happening...who knows....? ;)). But it all started with this.

We wrote on the whiteboard of our friends' house that they needed girlfriends...among other things. (It's funnier if you know them).
To which, they then responded by posting this on instagram:

Apparently I like to use hashtags too much for their liking, Ash says "like" too much, and Alena swears she's 18.

And so, they told us it was on. So, naturally, we took it as an invitation to prank them. Saran wrapping their cars and forking their lawn was our first choice. Sounded great....until it started to snow. Curse this Canadian weather.
But, it actually ended up working to our benefit. We grabbed some shovels and went to work...at 3am. The things you do for pranks! Good thing it was daylight savings, so we ended up having an extra hour to sleep later. Still I felt like death the next morning. But was it worth it? Definitely.

This was the glorious outcome of our lack of sleep.

Front and back doors. We did leave the back screen open so they could get out in the morning, and only piled the snow halfway up that door. We really care. ;) We also made a sign that said payback and put it between the screen and wooden front doors. We walked away from the house with numb, wet feet and cold faces, but with a feeling of satisfaction. Then we saw their cars and decided to put some icing on the cake.

We wrote things like this:

And this:

And even this (among other things):

(This ones hard to see, but it says #like and payback).

Hope this helps with the Monday blues! Have a great day you guys!!

First Post!

Well hello there!

This is my first blog post, and writing it, I feel like I should explain why I want to blog.

Firstly, I want a place where I can share pranks. I know, you're probably thinking I'm real mature at this point. But don't go away - pranks are great! (Lesbehonest) pranks are fun, and they make you laugh, and they add excitement to your life! At least they do for me, and I love making people laugh. So my hope is that I can make YOU laugh in reading this blog!

Secondly, I want a place to document the new things that I try. I have a Pinterest board already where I pin how different recipes, hairstyles, makeup looks, etc have turned out. BUT, I feel like I would make a lot more use of Pinterest if I had to be accountable for trying new things. (Then all those hours pinning away would seem a whole lot more productive, because I just have to try some of them - I know you've all been there!) And you get to watch me succeed orrr make a fool of myself. Let's hope for the former! Anyway, that is why I want to create Try-It-Tuesdays!

I'm seriously hoping this does not happen.

Thirdly, I have wanderlust. I think that once you get a taste of travel, you just want more. Like your favourite flavour of ice cream - you just keep licking away, enjoying that delicious, creamy, sweet taste on your tongue...and once it's gone, you might just go for seconds. Or better yet, the taste of delicious Fumo....You've never had Fumo? I would suggest hopping on a plan to Italy right now, just to get a plate - I swear it's worth it! Have the dream, but not the funds? I feel ya. No need to worry, here's the recipe I found from some goddess on Pinterest. I could go on for days, but I digress. Food is just one of the many amazing things you get while travelling. The art and the architecture is unreal! I'm currently taking a course in Art History and I've been blown away by it all. I love finding out why art is made, what was the significance at the time, and why it matters now. And there's nothing quite like actually being in a place like Sainte-Chapelle. Pictures don't do it justice, I assure you.

The food, the art, the culture. You just need to go experience it. Trust.

And lastly, I am in the process of making over my life to be healthy. That includes moderation in all things....hopefully, haha. I started this journey in January 2013, and I've learned a LOT! I'm not perfect, but I have had quite a few people ask me for tips, and I figure a blog is a the perfect way to share them along with motivation and recipes. I love food you guys! Seriously, maybe too much...so, I plan on sharing healthy recipes that actually taste good! Healthy + Tasty = Win-Win in my books. My mom is probably the most amazing chef I've ever known, so I'll share some of her gems too. Plus there's a wedding coming up that I need to get in top shape for. But more importantly, I believe that you need to love yourself (pardon the cliche, I hate them as much as you). I've found that living a healthy life allows me to do that. Here's to motivation and inspiration. You can each live happy and healthy. And it is so worth it. You are worth it. You deserve to give yourself a healthy life.

So please, folLOw along! Hope that you enjoy, and comment if you have any questions, ideas or requests! I'd love any input!

Ciao!

Lo
